ZhangjiaKou Photovoltaic Power Station under Construction
Recently, the 20MW Zhangjiakou Photovoltaic Power Station EPC project undertaken by China Electronics Engineering Design Institute (EEDI) affiliated to State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC) is began to be constructed in Wanquan County. Following the concept of hosting “Green and Low Carbon Winter Olympics”, the project will be a great practice to bring good environmental and social benefits, and to play a positive role in improving air quality in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
The 20 MW distributed photovoltaic power generation project is located in a mountain area in the northwest of Wanquan County, Zhangjiakou City, covering a wasteland of 620 Mu. With total investment of 200 million Yuan, it is expected to be connected to grid by the end of this year. After construction, the photovoltaic power station will generate annual output of nearly 30 million KWH, and will reach 700 million KWH of power generation in total in the next 7 years. This is equivalent to save 9000 tons of standard coal each year, and reduce 27,300 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, 823 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, 411 tons of nitrogen oxide emissions, and 7459 tons of carbon dust.
